Best, Fast, Easy- Easy Chicken Broth

This is basic and life changing.  Well it was for me.  Like changed my perspective on food.  Chicken broth gets it’s flavor, in large part, from the parts of the bird that are harder to eat.  The longer it works the more flavor, to a point.  

This broth is unseasoned.  You will can use it for any recipe.  I will give you some recipes to use it in below as well. 


Ingredients

  • 1 3-4 lb chicken

  • cold filtered water

Instructions

  1. Put chicken in a heavy bottomed pot, cover with water.

  2. Bring to a simmer

  3. Simmer at for at least an hour.  Cooking the chicken meat much longer will make it very dry.  

  4. Remove chicken and let cool

  5. Strain broth into a large jar or other container/s

  6. Shred chicken and use however you like
